Dr. Peled Received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Guelph, Canada. She is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, the Illinois Society for Microbiology, and the planning committee of the Chicago Symposia on Excellence in Teaching Math and Science.  Dr. Peled teaches microbiology and immunology as well as more general biology courses. She is involved in research with the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Northwestern University.

Dr. Gross received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His research interests include:

• Ecological basis of classical biological control of insect pests
• Ecology and evolution of insect-plant and multi-trophic level interactions
• Biology, behavior, and ecology of insect parasitoids
• Effects of vegetation structure and diversity on conservation of parasitoids in natural and managed landscapes.
• Prairie ecology

S. Renée Judd, Assistant Professor

Dr. Judd received her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Chicago. Her interests include yeast biology and genomic evolution. She teaches biochemistry, biology and genetics courses.

Dr. Steinberg received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Her research has been in the field of animal communication.
