3. Service to the Institution
Committee Member, Illinois School Funding Forum This involved securing panelists for our October 6th, 2007 event, creating the agenda, contributing to weekly hour-long conference calls, attending in-person meetings with the steering committee, and planning for next steps.
Principal Investigator, Illinois School Finance Adequacy Initiative I am conducting research and hosting policy taskforce meetings. I will also coordinate dissemination related to the research and taskforce. I will also continue to contribute to grant writing in order to secure outside funding for this project.
Committee Chair, Committee Member, and Dean’s Representative, EDL and Educational Psychology Dissertation Committees I have served on students’ committees in the Madison, Niles, and Elgin cohorts for EDL and Educational Psychology Departments. Currently I am serving as Chair of three committees and a member of five other students’ committees from the Elgin cohort, as well as a committee member for an Educational Psychology doctoral student.

Researcher, Integrated Resource Information System (IRIS) project:
Assess and document current Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) capacity to track resource expenditures within finance, budget and human resources systems
Prototype MPS cost accounting framework
Assist in conducting gap analysis of current system capacity to measure IRIS indicators
Develop goals and strategies for addressing identified needs
