Department of Reading and Language of the National College of Education at National-Louis University

Literacy is a major issue in the U.S. Department of Education. The faculty in the Reading and Language department at National-Louis University keep literacy issues at the forefront of educational research by actively pursuing projects, external partnerships and other initiatives that help stimulate literacy education nationwide. The work they pursue through grant funded projects has been instrumental in developing programs that nurture future leaders in the field of literacy education, as well as enriching the educational experience of school age students. At the same time, their work through these projects has helped to provide visibility, credibility and publicity for National-Louis University, and the Reading and Language department programs.
