Academic Advisors can assist students with a variety of issues. The most common services to students are:
Your academic advisor is your first contact to assist you in any problems you are facing at NLU. NLU has a wide variety of services available to assist students in achieving success at NLU, and your advisor is your first step in that process.
You should plan to meet with your academic advisor regularly. Undergraduate students in accelerated programs should meet with an advisor soon after starting at NLU to develop a degree plan and again as their program nears completion to discuss remaining requirements to complete. Students in traditional programs will need to meet with an advisor at least once a quarter to register for courses.
Graduate advisors in NCE can assist with any questions students have in navigating the university and also should be contacted for registration, questions about endorsements and degree requirements, or degree completion at any time.
