Simple Admissions and Transfer Credit Procedures

  • Getting started is easy with our online application.
  • Give us official transcripts of all schools (including military training programs) you have attended.
  • We can evaluate your prior credits in as little as two hours.**

    * Depending upon receipt of transfer credits and meeting other criteria
    ** Depending upon the number of transfer credits to be evaluated

We also have a few additional admissions requirements. For all of our business programs you need three years of professional experience under your belt. In addition to general program and admission requirements, here are the exceptions:

Undergraduate

  • While you will need at least 90 quarter (60 semester) hours of transfer credit, we can make getting those credits easier.
  • We accept credit for military education, career and life learning experiences as well as prior college coursework.
  • You can also earn credits through accelerated classes in our FOCUS (Focus on Completing Undergraduate Studies) program.

Graduate

  • No GRE or GMAT required.
  • You need three years of professional experience under your belt.

Give Yourself Some C.R.E.D.I.T. — You've Earned It

You may already be farther along than you think in your college career. Find out from your NLU Military Advisor if you can get credit for what you already know through the MY NLU C.R.E.D.I.T. program.

COLLEGE-LEVEL EXAMS: (CLEP (College-Level Examination Program); Advanced Placement (AP) and the American College Testing Program (ACT-PEP)
REAL LIFE LEARNING from EXPERIENCE (including military work experience)
